Pool Fencing & Safety Gates
Florida law requires a barrier around every residential pool. We install code-compliant pool fences in vinyl, aluminum, and chain-link — with self-closing, self-latching safety gates.
Your Pool Needs a Safety Barrier
In Florida, a pool barrier isn't optional — it's the law. Florida Statute 515 requires every residential swimming pool to be enclosed by a barrier that meets specific height, spacing, and gate requirements. Beyond the legal requirement, a properly installed pool fence is one of the most important safety measures you can take to protect children and pets. Bobby's Fence & Gate installs pool safety fences throughout Tampa Bay that meet Florida pool code — and we'll walk you through exactly what's required for your property.
Florida Pool Barrier Requirements

Pool Fence Styles We Install
Every style we install meets Florida pool barrier code. We'll help you choose the right material based on your budget, aesthetics, and property layout.
Vinyl (PVC) Pool Fence
Our most popular pool fencing option. Vinyl pool fences are low-maintenance, weather-resistant, and available in privacy and semi-privacy styles. Installed with self-closing, self-latching gates that meet Florida pool code. Available in white, tan, and grey.
Aluminum Pool Fence
Aluminum pool fencing provides a clean, open look while meeting all Florida pool barrier requirements. Powder-coated for rust resistance, available in black, bronze, and white. Popular for properties where visibility into the pool area is preferred.
Chain-Link Pool Fence
Chain-link is the most cost-effective pool barrier option. Installed at 60" height to meet Florida code, with a self-closing, self-latching gate. Available in galvanized silver or vinyl-coated black and green.
Code-Required
Self-Closing, Self-Latching Safety Gates
Every pool fence we install includes a properly configured safety gate. Florida code requires gates to be self-closing (returning to the closed position automatically), self-latching (locking without manual action), and opening outward away from the pool. The latch must be on the pool side and positioned so a child cannot reach it from outside. We install and adjust gates to meet these requirements on every job — no shortcuts.
